Sea Salt taken from the sea in the age old way from the coast of Trapani in the west of Sicily from its crescent shaped coastline. For over 2000 years salt has been harvested by hand on the famous salt road between Trapani and Marsala by allowing the sun to slowly evaporate the seawater from the salt pans. This salt is rich in magnesium and potassium and has less sodium chloride than refined salt. It has an intense fresh flavour, but beware, it is 4 to 5 times stronger than average table salt so just a pinch is required.
